Worked great
Perfect app: does what it claims, and does it well. The notifications when my files are done are a nice touch. I doubt I’ll ever use another file decompression app.
While I’m glad this is free, I don’t see it having any more functionality than the Archive Utility that is already included with Mac OS X. I couldn’t find any documentation Granted the Archive Utility is hidden deep in System > Library > CoreServices > Applications so it is a bit harder to find, but it automatically runs when needed. The Archive Utility can compress as well. What benefit does this bring other than something that is easier to stick into the dock?
Downloaded and opened this app. Landing screen was a plug for subscribing to their newsletter, with no apparent option for actually unzipping a file. I did this—stupidly—in the hopes that would unlock the app, but nothing happened. I finally figured out how to process a file, which it failed to do. Seems more like a scam than a useful tool.
This is a simple tool that works great. It has worked on zip files that both the built-in archive utility and WinZip for Mac failed to decompress.
I really love Decompressor! It’s easy to use and very handy!!.
Decompressor works well enough if you have a single archive to open - in this sense it is just as good as the competition. The app can’t open split archives properly, however. For that, you’re going to need one of the better tools out there.
This application worked on a windows zip file that the native Mac utility failed on. Very Happy. I have only needed it once so far.
Quick, easy and efficent.
It does what it is supposed to do, much better than others I’ve tried.
Very easy to use and friendly
Just downloaded it. Only used it once so far but it was quick and responsive. Gets 4 stars both for lack of extensive experience and because of the initial, annoying pop-ups asking me to download other software that I don’t need or want.
Serious, is it possible to exclude this message?
The most important things that I look for in an app of this kind are present–free of cost, a design that is very well integrated (into the theme of the cutom applications), a simple easy to navigate (straightforward) interface and whether it does what it’s supposed to. I can easily check off everything on this list. Good app, thanks.
This “free” app is all about the advertising. And it didn’t work.
I was presented with ads upon ads. On the plus side, it did decompress a RAR file.
